CORINIUM CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING CLUB ANNUAL TROPHY PRESENTATIONS
Over the years the Club has built up a magnificent collection of trophies. Every other shoot is a competition of some kind or other and the photo shows Ken Fletcher and his wife ready to present the trophies at the Annual Prizegiving in 2000. THE JOHN HOPES TROPHY - originally the Secretary Challenge Cup and first shot for in 1970. Name changed in honour of John on his death in the year that he won it, 1994. Top gun of the day wins it. THE FLEECE HOTEL TROPHY - presented 1970 and now shot for as the ‘A’ Class Trophy. THE LODGE MOTORS CUP - presented in 1970 by Eddie Lodge a former President of the Club. Now shot for as the ‘B’ Class Trophy. THE SIMON LANE TROPHY - presented in 1970 by Simon Lane, an early Club member. Now shot for as the ‘C’ Class Trophy. THE CATERCARE CHALLENGE BOWL - first shot for in 1973 Now the ‘D’ Class Trophy. THE LORD BANBURY CUP - the original President’s Cup first shot for in 1971 and presented by Lord Banbury of Southam D.L. Top gun of the day wins it. THE TIMECRAFT CUP - shot for the first time in 1972. Top gun of the day wins it. THE JULY TANKARD - first shot for in July 1974. Top gun of the day wins it. THE SIDE X SIDE CUP - presented by Brian Hobbs, in 1979. Brian is a former member of the Club and the Cup was first shot for in the year he presented it. THE PRESIDENTS CUP - presented by M.C.E. Orr Esq in 1982 and shot for in that year. Top gun of the day wins it. THE ANNE LODGE TROPHIES - the two man Pheasant Flush trophies presented by Anne in 1981. Two of the most attractive and sought after trophies. THE SMALL BORE CUP - presented by Colt Cars Mid West in 1984. Has to be shot with anything smaller than a 12 bore. THE RON JARRETT MENS TROPHY - The Mens’ Trophy presented by Ron in 1985. THE RON JARRETT LADIES TROPHY - The Ladies’ Trophy presented by Ron in 1989. Ron is an early club member and still attends most shoot days even though he is unable to shoot whilst recovering from a back operation. THE CLIVE OGBOURNE TROPHY - presented by Janet, Clive’s wife, in memory of Clive in 1989, they had both been active members of the Club. The cup is shot for on a handicap basis. THE CHRISTMAS CUP - purchased by the Club in 1990 shot for on a handicap basis. THE SIMON LANE HANDICAP - presented by Simon Lane in 1991 and originally shot for as the .410 Cup, but now shot on a handicap basis. MOST IMPROVED SHOOTER SHIELD - presented by Mark Hazels Gunroom in 1991 SILVER JUBILEE TROPHY - purchased by the Club in 1994 and shot for on a handicap basis. THE DUNCAN SPANDLER MILLENNIUM TROPHY - presented by Duncan in 2000 and shot for on a handicap basis |
